Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented and customer-centric Product Manager to contribute to the development and product marketing of components of our revolutionary Automated Insulin Delivery system.  Notably we are seeking a product manager for the AID hardware and associated consumables. This role will support the customers of our AID product by leading the ongoing development and launches of these product components.   It will require working closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, define product requirements, support launches, manage the product lifecycle, collect customer feedback and ensure that our offerings continue to meet and exceed the needs of patients and healthcare professionals as it related to our consumable product lines. 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Product and Lifecycle Management:
    • Lead cross-functional teams (development and commercial partners and external suppliers) through the product development process from concept to launch.  
    • Support the product lifecycle, including product updates, enhancements, customer channels, SKU mix optimization and discontinuations based on market feedback and performance metrics.
    • Monitor the external environment to understand competitive trends, emerging technology and deeply explore the life of customer and their unmet needs and opportunities for product teams.
  • Market Launch and Positioning:
    • In close partnership with Marketing, develop and implement product marketing plans to support product launches, including pricing strategies, promotional activities, sales training and customer training.
    • In close partnership with Medical, create compelling product messaging and educational and training materials for healthcare professionals and customers.
    • Collaborate with and support sales teams in development of strategies for product positioning and penetration in the market.
    • Collaborate with Customer Care teams in development of educational and training support. 
  • Product Strategy Development: 
    • In close partnership with Sr. Director of Product Strategy, define product vision and strategy for insulin pump and consumables to align with Sequel’s overall product vision. 
    • Own execution of product vision and strategy for insulin pump consumables. 
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align product goals with overall business objectives. 
    • Consolidate market feedback, conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. 
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: 
      • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product inquiries and feedback. 
      • Engage with healthcare professionals and patients to gather insights and validate product concepts. 
      • Attend conferences and industry events to represent the company and gather market intelligence. 
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: 
    • Analyze product performance metrics and market feedback to inform ongoing product improvements. 
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on product performance and strategic recommendations. 
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA preferred. 
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry. 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of diabetes management products, AID and insulin pump therapy is preferred. 
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to lead and drive work streams across cross-functional partners, 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in market analysis and product positioning. 
  • Technical proficiency and/or learning agility 
  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements, conferences, and site visits. 
  • Experience developing 1-3-year roadmaps and gaining cross-functional alignment including senior and executive management. 
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery. 
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of hardware and software products, preferably in the medical device space or consumer electronics with health applications. 
  • Strong experience developing business case justification for new products/services/features or material changes in current products/services/features. 
  • Experience contributing to engineering (both hardware and software) discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
