Job Overview The Senior Procurement Analyst will be a key individual contributor responsible for executing tactical procurement activities while supporting the development of efficient sourcing strategies. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role will focus on supplier management, contract execution, purchase order management, and procurement process optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the medical device or healthcare industry and a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Procurement Execution: Manage the procurement of commodities and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing. Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Supplier Coordination: Support supplier selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationship management. Ensure compliance with contract terms and performance expectations.
Purchase Order Management: Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery, proper invoicing, and resolution of any discrepancies with suppliers.
Cost Management: Assist in tracking and analyzing purchase price variance (PPV) to support cost-saving initiatives and ensure financial efficiency.
Sourcing Support: Work closely with the Director of Procurement to develop and implement sourcing strategies for new and existing components and services. Participate in RFQs, RFPs, and e-auctions as needed.
Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance metrics and escalate issues as needed. Support initiatives to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality and reliability.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency. Assist in the development of procurement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, and other departments to ensure procurement alignment with business needs.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Ensure procurement activities align with regulatory and company requirements, minimizing risks in the supply chain.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare industry, or other complex supply chain environments.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience managing procurement activities for a category, including supplier selection and contract execution.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work regularly in the Manchester, NH office.
