Job Overview

Sequel Med Tech is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of innovative clinical product solutions that enhance the experience of people with diabetes (PWD) and healthcare providers (HCPs). This role will focus on creating and optimizing tools that effectively train and support customers in using our automated insulin delivery system. Specifically, the Product Manager will lead the development of a comprehensive data visualization system for HCPs to enable them to efficiently manage their Sequel patients and also the development of a best-in-class digital training experience for new customers. 

The Product Manager will collaborate closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to gather customer insights, define product requirements, drive development, support product launches, and collect feedback to inform continuous improvement. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our solutions exceed the expectations of both patients and healthcare professionals. 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of clinical product solutions. 
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development, Field Training, IT, Medical, and Commercial teams to design, develop, test, and implement clinical product solutions. Lead solution development by defining user and business needs to inform requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for diabetes device training. 
  • Maintain and manage product backlogs by gathering and incorporating feedback from users and cross-functional partners. Continuously explore and implement new technologies to enhance the customer experience. 
  • Stay informed on competitor offerings, including digital training, data visualization, and customer portals, by monitoring industry trends and assessing new platform capabilities. Support additional product initiatives as needed based on business priorities. 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to internal teams and end users to optimize adoption and utilization of clinical product solutions. 
  • Translate business needs into a strategic product roadmap for the next 1–3 years. Make data-driven decisions by collaborating with internal and external data partners to refine the product strategy, define key performance metrics, and drive continuous product enhancements. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on product performance, market research, and strategic recommendations. 
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Product Strategy to define product vision and strategy in alignment with Sequel’s overall business objectives. 
  • Engage directly with healthcare providers (HCPs) and people with diabetes (PWDs) to gather insights, validate product concepts, and enhance user experience. 
  • Represent Sequel Med Tech at industry conferences and events to gather market intelligence and strengthen the company’s presence in the diabetes technology space. 
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA preferred. 
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management and 3+ years of experience with either regulated medical devices or software as a medical device within an FDA-regulated environment 
  • 5+ years of total progressive work experience  
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong personal and/or professional knowledge of diabetes management products, AID and insulin pump therapy is preferred.  
  • Strong understanding of product management methodologies and principles, including business case development, roadmap development, user needs and requirement gathering, cross functional alignment and ongoing product management 
  • Strong focus on the customer and end user, competitor and market analysis, product positioning and a passion to improve their lives 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.  
  • Technical proficiency and/or exceptional earning agility and curiosity
  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements, conferences, and site visits.
  • ​​​​​​​Experience contributing to engineering (both hardware, software and user interface designs) discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. Including feature delivery and tradeoffs of features, preferably in the medical device space or consumer electronics with health applications. 
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to informally lead and drive work streams across cross-functional partners.
